There are many great things that can make your backyard more fun and that’s to invite birds to visit.   You can place bird baths and feeders to attract birds.  My mother has a variety of bird feeders for hummingbirds and many other types of birds.

She just loves them, and these bird baths and bird feeders do tend to draw a larger number of birds to her yard.   She could sit back and relax by her windows for hours and watch birds as the come and go, but she usually does not have the time.

One thing she talks about wanting bird baths for different types of birds. She never asked for them, but I guess she has decided she would get them. But she wanted to put them in the front and back of her house.  That way where ever she was, she could see plenty of birds.

I always thought that these baths were just for decoration, but she tells me that the birds really love the baths and especially if they bird bath heaters. I have a funny vision of the birds flying down with a towel and scrub brush to have some bath time in the bird baths.

People have been using and buying bird baths for a long time. Some have a hefty price on them, but careful shopping can reward you with a reasonable price. This is because the good ones are made right and last a long time.

My dad was given one made out of plastic. He had a hard time getting it to stay in place and it was just to light to be stable, so he gave up on it.
